Trust / Exit and portability
The exit conversation, had at the start
What your data is, how you get it out, in what format, and what happens to the copy we hold. Answered before you sign rather than during a dispute.
A vendor who will not discuss offboarding is telling you that leaving is the commercial lock. We would rather compete on the product.
Ask about offboardingIf we leave in three years, what do we walk away with?
Your claims, policies, parties, financial transactions, documents and audit history — in structured, documented formats, along with the schema that explains them. Not a PDF dump, and not a proprietary archive that requires our software to read.
Offboarding
How an exit actually runs
- 01
The data inventory is known in advance
The data inventory is documented. You are not discovering the shape of your own data at the moment you need to move it.
- 02
Structured export, with schema
Entity data exported in structured form with the documentation that makes it loadable somewhere else. Documents come out as the files they are.
- 03
Audit history travels
The audit trail is part of your record, not our operational telemetry. A file you have to defend after you leave is still defensible.
- 04
Termination preserves, then removes
Relationships terminate rather than delete during operation. At contract end, deletion of our copy happens on an agreed schedule — and it is a schedule, written down, not a promise.
- 05
Backups age out
Encrypted backups roll off on their retention cycle. We will tell you the cycle so you know when the last copy genuinely stops existing, rather than assuming it did.

Questions worth asking us and our competitors
The answers below are ours. Put the same list in front of anybody else you are evaluating, and notice which questions produce a specific answer and which produce a sales response.
Do we get structured data or reports?
Structured entity data with documented schema, plus documents as files
Does the audit history come with us?
Yes — it is part of your record
Is there an export fee?
A commercial question we answer in writing before you sign, not after
How long until your copy is gone?
An agreed deletion schedule, plus the backup retention cycle stated explicitly
Can we export while still a customer?
Yes — BI datasets and reporting run with the caller’s own permissions
What if we only leave one portal?
Entitlements are per-portal, so partial exit is a configuration change, not a migration
What portability cannot promise
Your data is yours and comes out in a usable shape. What it will not do is drop cleanly into a different vendor’s model without work.
Schemas differ
No two claims platforms model reserves, parties or coverage identically. Mapping into a successor system is real work, and any vendor implying otherwise is selling.
Configuration does not transfer
Your rate book, rules, thresholds and retention schedules are configuration in this platform. The values are yours; the shape they sit in is ours.
We have not been exited yet
We are early enough that we have not run a full customer offboarding. The mechanism is documented and the data is structured, but we will not claim battle-tested experience we do not have.
